The picture above is a photo of three notebooks I keep to write song lyrics. It's not often that I pull these notebooks out, but when I'm feeling inspired you may catch me with one of these in my hand. I began writing song poems in the seventh grade. I enjoyed the idea of writing something other than essay for my english class. When I was younger I didn't think that I was a good writer, but I did think that I wrote good poems. I found myself writing poems outside of the classroom, during my free time, and any other time I felt like it until it became a hobby. Since I loved singing and I realized that my favorite songwriter, Beyoncè, wrote some of her own songs, I decided to start writing song lyrics. There were some lyrics that I wrote then threw in the trash and there were some that I loved. Singing and song writing became a passion on mine. I never would have imagined myself writing and performing songs, but that mere thought soon became one of my biggest dreams.
